What is a 3D photo crystal?
A block of K9 optical crystal with your photo laser-engraved inside it. The engraving creates a three-dimensional image that seems to float in the glass, and it glows beautifully on a light base.
What's the difference between 2D and 3D?
2D engravings show your photo as a flat image inside the crystal. 3D engravings add depth, so the subject appears to stand out from the background.
What size crystal should I choose?
It depends on how many people or pets are in your photo and where you plan to display it. The more faces in your photo, the larger the crystal should be, so every face stays clear and detailed. Our Size Guide compares every crystal size in inches and millimeters, shows how many people fit and lists which light bases fit each crystal.
Can I use a photo from my phone?
Yes. Upload the original from your camera roll for best results. See our Photo Tips.
Will I see a proof before you engrave?
Yes, we offer two ways to buy. You can use our self-service design center or utilize our full-service design process. In both cases, you will get to see a preview of your crystal before it's made. See How It Works.
How long will my order take?
Each crystal is custom made to order. Once the final proof is approved, production typically takes 2-3 business days, plus shipping time. See How It Works.
Does the light base come with the crystal?
No, all light bases are sold separately in our Accessories Collection.
Can I add names, dates or a message?
Yes, for an additional fee of $9.99 you can add names, dates, or a special message. From the photo upload screen in the design center, click the "+ add text" button. Or, if you prefer to use our full-service process, you can add the text directly from the order screen. We will place the text for you in the proof for you to approve or adjust.
Can you remove the background or combine photos?
Yes, we include background removal for all photos. In fact, we recommend that the background is removed in most cases. We do not currently offer photo combining services.
How do I clean my crystal?
Wipe it gently with a soft, lint-free cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals and abrasive cleaners. Each crystal will arrive with a complimentary microfiber cloth.
Can I return a personalized item?
Because each piece is custom-made with your photo, we can't accept returns of personalized items for change of mind. Unused light bases and display stands can be returned or exchanged within 14 days of delivery.
